Recommended Locations for Students

Academic Building Use Policies and Guidelines

  1. Student organizations holding weekly meetings in academic spaces are limited to one 90-minute meeting per week (Monday - Thursday only) . Reservation requests must be submitted at least two business days in advance of the event or weekly meeting. 

    1. Weekly meetings or events may be scheduled in university classrooms during the current semester within the following approved time blocks:
      1. Monday - Thursday: 
        1. 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
        2. 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
  2. On Fridays, academic buildings are open to the public from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No weekly meetings can take place on Fridays.

  3. Academic buildings are closed on the weekends. 

  4. Any student organization or campus department wishing to host a one-time event in an academic building on a Friday evening or during the weekend must submit a request to the Location Approver or the UESC team at uesc@appstate.edu at least three weeks in advance. Any last minute requests will not be considered. Please note that weekend events held in academic spaces may be subject to a facility and/or housekeeping fee due to the use of academic facilities outside of regular operating hours.
